I hesitate to say much about another shit slinging local election . But I’ve gotten a lot of messages asking who im voting for and why i been so quiet . soooo…..
For mayor I do NOT endorse a person . i endorse My hometown , my neighborhood and what is best for it,. or at least what will do less harm . i have seen enough local elections to learn not to expect any real substantive change for my once clean safe and friendly neighborhood , no matter who wins . My entire 5 voter households here on Clover Street will be voting for King. In the 15 years or so of her opponent running for council, running for Commissioner, running for school board, and running his mouth he has accomplished nothing. He runs as a Democrat, runs as a Republican, runs as an independent or whatever he feels gets him a political edge. I have not seen him do much more than point out the obvious problems our town faces, one at a time, and never offers a solution to any of them before he moves on to the next outrage and doesn’t do anything about that . Again and again and again .
In my opinion a vote for King is a vote against four years of complaining, a vote against four years of chaos, a vote against a waste of time and what would be a long shit show of council meetings that will be a monthly circus.
So i am voting for Johnstown and hoping all who have followed me to do the same. I have always hoped for positive change for the city and neighborhood to which I have devoted much time, energy, money and love. This November i will vote with my city in my heart and King on my ballot.
For council …..
Taylor Clark is someone i feel truly has the best interest for the city as a whole in his heart . He has my vote .
Jasmine La Rue, its time we get someone new and young for a fresh perspective .
Mike Hamacek …. I knew him in passing as a friend of the Bambino family in Woodvale growing up . He has always been a good guy as far as I know.
Nick Spinelli . While I have heard very little from him the little I’ve heard has been about the issue of blight and infrastructure needing addressed …… The two things I feel are among our top problems
All 4 are new candidates and that’s a positive change .
My 5th vote will be a write in . Marie Mock while she and i have been on opposite sides at times , no member of council does more to show community pride and tries to help people more with issues like blight .
Good luck to all and more importantly good luck to our town ….. The old place could really use some luck and love. .
(I would have posted this to Revitalize Johnstown , but the “transparency” page draws a line at posting the facts that Taranto voted to raise my and your taxes his last time on that board, and that he took his family on a JHA junket to Florida on the taxpayers’ dime . Transparency my ass guys.)
