Lorraine Brandon Taylor

2025 Candidate for Johnstown City Council

Meet Lorraine

Beyond business, Lorraine has opened her heart and home as a foster parent, providing stability, love, and hope to children in need. She is also active as a part-time vendor, which gives her firsthand experience of the importance of supporting small and local businesses. She believes that vendors and entrepreneurs are vital to Johnstown’s economy and deserve a city government that uplifts and creates opportunities for them to succeed.

Lorraine is driven by a deeply personal goal: to make Johnstown a city where her own family can thrive without having to leave in search of opportunities. She envisions a future where children, families, and entrepreneurs can build their lives here—strengthening the community instead of watching it shrink.

As a candidate for Johnstown City Council, Lorraine is focused on tackling blight, strengthening public safety, supporting small businesses and vendors, and ensuring that city leadership operates with transparency and accountability. With a proven record of resilience, service, and results, she is ready to be a voice for the people—working to restore pride, retain talent, uplift families, and create a brighter future for generations to come.
